Shining Spiral

The early years (0 to 7) have been called the formative years. The quality of life a child would lead, depends to a large extent on these first few years. At SHINING SPIRAL, we create the environment most conducive for the healthy development of the child. We recognize, protect and nurture the ‘dignity of childhood’.

Our Vision

To steer minds to

  • be capable of moulding their life meaningfully.
  • coexist harmoniously with nature.

Our Mission

To nurture skills of observance, independence, resourcefulness, and reverence by providing a rested childhood with age appropriate activities (in order) to develop socially and professionally capable adults.

What we Offer

Playgroup, Nursery, Kindergarten and Grade 1

The young child gets an environment of warmth, truth and goodness – exactly what s/he needs at this age.

  • Dreamy, cosy and very secure ambiance.
  • Well planned rhythms, based on the nature’s cycles give security to the child.
  • Child plays with handmade toys (most of which have been made by the teacher). Most toys are ‘unfinished’. This allows the child to create his own play. This triggers the imaginativeness in the child which forms a basis for developing thinking skills in later life.
  • Ample space and time for indoor and outdoor play.
  • A variety of activities like cooking, baking, painting, beading, working with beeswax, finger knitting for gross and fine motor skill development and development of a sense of wonder.
  • Daily storytelling, puppet plays ensure that the child is exposed to appropriate classical language.
  • Sharing fruits and meals strengthens the bonds among classmates and develops table manners and healthy eating habits.
  • Exposure to the environment in the class as well as during ‘nature walks’.
